This 1959 International Harvester B160 dump truck was bought by a movie prop agency just before the pandemic and now they are offloading it for super cheap while no movies are being shot. The price? Just $3,500
The ad claims it was used, probably since new, to haul grain around on a South Carolina mountain. It also claims 30,000 miles, though the odometer may have rolled over.
It really is such a lovely design. The truck is also in amazing shape. Little rust, working hydraulics , working everything.
The vinyl bench doesn’t appear to have any tears, the floors are all intact and without rust holes, and the instrumentation functions. I love this thing!
This is NP all day.

I would love to drive this.
For 15 minutes.

I think I could hold out a little longer before my arms give out from unpowered steering.

Same, but then I would only “like” driving it. After another 20 I’d HATE driving something like this.
I’ve driven modern giant box trucks, and even those suck after about an hour.

Dumpy d aily ? Like this?
I came across this yesterday and I have no idea what kind of movie features such gratuitous dump truck driving scenes.
And about halfway through this clip, a guy learns to drive a Tatra dump truck like an absolute maniac. I’m not sure I could make a better movie with 20 dump trucks in a field but I’m just not sure about this.

Given how a lot of these trucks get used it’s conceivable that 30,000 miles is reasonable. My in-laws have a large farm, and their 70’s era Ford dump truck has extremely low miles as well. It really only gets used when they do drainage work or clear areas and haul brush to burn piles.

Traveling very short distances around a farm doesn't exactly rack up the miles I suppose, so if it had rolled over it would be in much worse shape. I believe you're right. It wasn't the easiest 30,000 miles though.

I think this is a lot rustier than he’s leading on in the add. Still this would be pretty sweet with a bit of metal work and bolted to a Chevy OBS chassis with the 350 and 5 spd and 4x4.

SC mountain but rarely used, so just water and see cycle damage really. Looked like long time surface rust from the ad picture. I saw no holes.
Yes, the potential!
